Clear Creek Golf Car expands to Kansas through deal

Posted online

Fresh off the acquisition of a local competitor, Ozark-based Clear Creek Golf Car and Vehicles LLC is expanding to Kansas with a newly announced deal.

Clear Creek in February purchased the territory rights to 67 counties in Kansas from Mexico, Missouri-based M&M Golf Cars LLC, according to a Friday news release. The financial terms of the deal were undisclosed.

As part of the deal, Clear Creek is taking over the M&M Golf Cars retail center in Andover, Kansas, east of Wichita.

"Wichita is a beautiful and rapidly growing community, full of great opportunities to create and serve customers, ranging from individuals with their own golf cars to fleets at golf courses, and a wide variety of industries with utility vehicle needs," said Brian Cheever, Clear Creek CEO, in the release. "M&M Golf Cars has been established in the Wichita community for close to 30 years, and their team has done a good job there. Our plan is to add resources and make every effort to take the business to the next level."

Like Clear Creek, M&M Golf Cars is a distributor of the Club Car brand. M&M Golf Cars will continue to operate in territories that Clear Creek did not purchase, such as the Kansas City and St. Louis markets, as well as northern Missouri and southern Iowa, said Trey Hathcock, marketing director for Clear Creek.

With the deal, Clear Creek now has 11 locations in Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma, according to the release.

In January, Clear Creek purchased Ozark Golf Cars and Utility Vehicles, marking its fourth acquisition in three years.
