Kaitlyn McConnell, Media Relations Manager at CoxHealth, says having someone in a communications role is very valuable to your organization. Keeping your employees engaged, in the loop, and knowing that you care about them is critical. “And then, of course, from the external side, you’ve got earned media, you’ve got paid marketing, you’ve got even social media today. All of those things need someone who really understands how to use those channels and to use them to the best ability that they have,” McConnell says.
