CoxHealth made an out-of-state hire for a vice president role.
Alicia Allen, effective immediately, has been named vice president of nursing for CoxHealth’s Springfield Hospital Group, according to news release issued yesterday. She's worked the past five years as a director at Carle Health in Bloomington, Illinois.
“Alicia is a transformational, results-oriented nurse leader who has a passion for generating outcomes through building great teams, developing people, using innovative approaches and gathering stakeholders to address goals,” said Beth Polivka, CoxHealth’s system chief nursing officer, in the release.
In her role, Allen succeeds Polivka, who was promoted late last year.
Allen is responsible for leading CoxHealth's nursing practice at its Springfield hospitals. Her role includes operational aspects of planning, organizing, directing and evaluating nursing care, according to the release.
A safe room and classroom addition at Willard Central Elementary School will be used by the music, arts and athletic programs for a district that had 4,536 students last year, according to Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education figures, but school officials say enrollment is projected to grow.
