Crowder College founder dies at 95

Jim Tatum, who led efforts to found Crowder College in Neosho, has died. He was 95.

Tatum went on to become a member of President Ronald Reagan's Educational Advisory Board 1982-88. He also served on state and national college boards.

"Jim Tatum was one of the most effective advocates for community college education," U.S. Sen. Roy Blunt, R-Missouri, said in a statement.
