Cyberattack forces shutdown of top US pipeline

A ransomware cyberattack forced the shutdown of one of the largest pipelines in the United States.

Colonial Pipeline temporarily shut off the 5,500-mile pipeline as a precautionary measure.

The pipeline transports 2.5 million barrels per day.
