Efactory awarded $200K grant

Missouri State University's downtown Springfield business incubator has been selected for a state grant.

The Efactory's $200,000 award from the Missouri Technology Corp. is being made through the Physical Infrastructure Grant Program, according to a news release.

"The vision of the grant program is to enhance and increase access to entrepreneurial support services throughout Missouri which will ensure companies can grow and scale,” said MTC Executive Director Jack Scatizzi, in the release.

With the funding, Efactory officials say they plan to expand its physical resources, largely through incubator space for businesses in manufacturing, health sciences, logistics and supply chain management, and technology.

Last month, The Efactory announced an expansion of its incubator space with Coworking@Brick, a concept that will be located on the third floor of Brick City Building 3 for use by remote workers, small-business owners and entrepreneurs, according to past reporting.
