Former Google exec sentenced to prison for stealing trade secrets

Former Google self-driving vehicle leader Anthony Levandowski was sentenced to 18 months in prison for stealing trade secrets.

Levandowski worked for the Google division that would become Waymo. He then founded trucking company Otto and sold it to Uber.

Accusations arose that Levandowski stole trade secrets from Google, leading to a lawsuit filed by Waymo against Uber.
