Former NBA Commissioner David Stern was rushed to the hospital Thursday for emergency brain surgery.
Stern went to the hospital after he had a brain hemorrhage.
Stern left the NBA in 2014 after a 30-year run overseeing the basketball organization. Last year, the league's revenues topped $8 billion.
