Former Missouri Gov. Eric Greitens is being accused of state and federal campaign finance violations as he runs for the U.S. Senate.
Greitens' campaign is accused of violating state law and an agreement with the Missouri Ethics Commission by spending money on his U.S. Senate campaign.
In October, the nonpartisan Washington, D.C.-based Campaign Legal Center accused Greitens' Senate campaign of illegally spending more than $100,000 taken from his campaign account for governor.
Officials with Greitens' campaign said the original complaint in October was "ludicrous."
