The Roy Blunt Jordan Valley Innovation Center at Missouri State University is funneling a $5.4 million grant toward private-sector technology investments.
Officials with JVIC announced in a news release this morning that proposals would be accepted through June 15. The Advanced Manufacturing Resiliency Grant Program funding from the Missouri Technology Corp. was awarded to JVIC in March, Springfield Business Journal previously reported.
JVIC now is awarding competitive grants to private-sector projects that focus on technology, infrastructure or workforce development to support and grow the semiconductor industry in Missouri.
“We’re excited to launch the call for projects and look forward to partnering with the private sector to deliver grant funding that will fortify an ecosystem of manufacturers focused on advanced technology development that will grow the semiconductor industry,” said Allen Kunkel, JVIC director and associate vice president for economic development at MSU, in the release.
