KC-area engineering firm makes acquisition

Overland Park, Kansas-based engineering firm Black & Veatch has purchased a Texas-based electrical construction services provider.

The financial terms of the deal for Bird Electric were undisclosed.

Black & Veatch CEO Mario Azar said the deal would "bring construction capabilities to a wider client base and provide broader career and personal growth opportunities to our professionals — all opening the door to an exciting future.”
