Jenifer Abreu, an on-air personality for KOLR, is exiting the television network.
Abreu, co-anchor of the “Daybreak” morning program, announced on her professional Facebook page that this week is her last at the station.
"Thank you to everyone who welcomed me into your home through the TV for the last few years, especially on ‘Daybreak,’ starting your day with us," she said in the post. "I am truly humbled that you have trusted me with your stories and I've been able to tell them."
Abreu is headed to the city of Ozark, said Samantha Payne, deputy city administrator for the municipality, via email. Abreu starts March 27 as communication manager, a new role for the city, said Payne.
Abreu has been with KOLR since 2016 and has served as co-anchor of “Daybreak” since 2020, according to her profile at OzarksFirst.com.
