Netflix workers are expected to stage a walkout today in support of the company's trans and non-binary employees.
The streaming company has been under fire for its airing of Dave Chappelle's new special, "The Closer," which features jokes at the expense of transgender people, as well as alleged poor treatment of some employees.
"I'm firmly committed to continue to support artistic freedom for the creators who work with Netflix and increase representation behind the screen and on camera," Netflix co-CEO Ted Sarandos said when asked about the walkout.
