New co-hosts started today on KWTO's Wake Up Springfield morning radio show.
Alex Bryant, executive director of Alex Bryant Ministries, and Chris Russell, former president and CEO of the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce, are the new co-hosts along with KWTO News Director Don Louzader and Producer Cass Bowen-Anderson, according to a news release. Co-host Tim Jones, former speaker of the state House of Representatives, exited Aug. 4 after around three years on the show.
“Our listeners are in for a real treat as these men bring a unique perspective from an Ozarks conservative mindset. They are great storytellers and have passion for their community," Louzader said in the release of Bryant and Russell.
The KWTO website describes Wake Up Springfield as a "daily look at life through a conservative lens" that provides "news of the day, interviews with local newsmakers and entertaining and engaging topics affecting life here in the Ozarks."
At the Nixa chamber, Russell recently was succeeded by Whitney Guison as president and CEO, according to past reporting.
Bryant, a local minister and author, last year ran for Missouri's 7th Congressional seat in the U.S. House of Representatives. Former Missouri state Sen. Eric Burlison won the seat.
Evergreen Hair House opened; the Ozark Chamber of Commerce moved to a new home; and Dirk’s Tavern LLC got its start on C-Street.
