Finley River Chiropractic
With nearly a decade of experience in the health care industry, Adrianna Norris became a first-time business owner with the July 18 opening of Finley River Chiropractic LLC. The Ozark clinic is at 506 E. South St. in Evans Plaza. Norris said she is the lone employee in the 1,000-square-foot space, formerly occupied by Lighting Boss, which shuttered. She declined to disclose startup costs or the two-year lease rate she signed with Evans Plaza. Finley River Chiropractic specializes in families, children and mothers through every stage of pregnancy. She said pregnancy care at the clinic includes the Webster technique, a chiropractic analysis and adjustment that the American Pregnancy Association says enables chiropractors to establish balance in the pregnant woman’s pelvis and reduce stress to her uterus and supporting ligaments. Morris said she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Logan University in Chesterfield.

PaPPo’s Pizzeria & Pub
PaPPo’s Pizzeria & Pub, a pizza chain with Springfield origins, launched its newest location Nov. 21 within sight of the Branson Landing. The restaurant at 490 Branson Landing Blvd., Stes. 307-311, is the 10th store for PaPPo’s, which debuted in downtown Springfield in 2012. Owner Chris Galloway said startup costs were $1.2 million for the Branson eatery, which is part of the Lakeside Shoppes. His store is across the street from the parking lot of Paula Deen’s Family Kitchen, located on the north side of the Branson Landing shopping center. Galloway said PaPPo’s is the first tenant to occupy the 6,000-square-foot space. He noted he signed a 10-year lease for an undisclosed rate with Odom Branson Landing Investments LLC. General Manager Rick Parrett leads the 65-person staff, Galloway said, adding Cameron Ling is assistant manager. He said the plan is for Parrett to train Ling to become GM, as the former is expected to go on to manage another PaPPo’s planned to open in late spring 2024 in Camdenton.

Huey Magoo’s
Just over six months after making its Missouri debut, Florida-based chicken tenders restaurant chain Huey Magoo’s opened its second store in the Ozarks on Nov. 13. Local businesspeople James and Lisa Tillman are franchisees of both Missouri locations, with the newest launching at 5402 N. 23rd St. in Ozark. Lisa Tillman said startup costs were $700,000 for the 2,740-square-foot restaurant, which was developed by Tillman Investments LLC. The eatery replaced a former car wash and is the second of five Huey Magoo’s locations the couple plans to open in the Springfield area. Tillman said Nixa is the next target area, but he declined to disclose an address or timetable for opening. Huey Magoo’s has a franchise fee of $35,000, with royalty fees of 5% and marketing fees of 2%, according to its website. She said General Manager Allie Barber leads a staff of 45 at the Ozark shop, which follows the April opening of a Springfield location at 3352 E. Sunshine St. Its menu includes chicken tenders, sandwiches, wraps and salads.
