Pfizer to produce COVID-19 drug at Kansas plant

Pfizer Inc. entered a deal to produce Gilead Sciences Inc.’s remdesivir drug at a plant in McPherson, Kansas.

There's been a shortage of remdesivir after the Food and Drug Administration gave emergency authorization for its use as treatment for COVID-19 patients.

Financial terms of the multiyear deal were not disclosed.
