An effort to lure the Kansas City Chiefs to the state of Kansas is underway, according to The Kansas City Star.
Former Kansas House Speaker Ron Ryckman Jr. reportedly is working with unnamed parties interested in bringing the Chiefs across the state border. Jackson County voters in Missouri this week rejected a stadium tax involving the Chiefs.
“Jackson County fumbled. Now there will be a mad scramble for the ball and we’re in the best position for a scoop and score,” Ryckman told The Kansas City Star.
