The city of Stockton has been selected for a Missouri Department of Natural Resources grant.
The $30,000 in funding is earmarked for the city to evaluate its public drinking water system for needed improvements, according to a news release.
"Drinking water systems are among the most essential public infrastructures for every community’s health and economic vitality," officials said in the Department of Natural Resources release. "This grant helps communities like Stockton to assess their system and identify improvements for more effective and longer service."
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B. Public House.
