Ethelmae Humphreys, a longtime leader of TAMKO Building Products, died Monday. She was 94.
Daughter of company founder E.L. Craig, Humphreys worked for the company since 1948. She held titles such as executive vice president and led day-to-day operations. She concluded her 73-year tenure with the company as chair emerita.
Humphreys is crediting with helping the company grow from a local shingle manufacturer with two plants in Joplin to one of the largest privately owned roofing manufacturers in the United States.
