Property management company TLC Properties is debuting a Tesla car-share program at an apartment complex in Springfield.

TLC Properties, a division of Coryell Collaborative Group, tomorrow is scheduled to launch the service, called Flex Drive, at Township 28 in Galloway Village, according to a news release.

Residents of Township 28 will be able to check out the Tesla Model 3 for six hours at a time and travel up to a 50-mile radius. The service is free to residents.

"Currently, Coryell Collaborative Group is working on infrastructure and vendors to provide superchargers that can charge the Flex Drive Tesla in as little as 30 minutes," officials said in the release.

Coryell Collaborative Group operates more than 23 multifamily apartment complexes with around 7,000 residents, according to the release. Another 1,195 units are scheduled for development.

Earlier this month, the company broke ground on a five-story residential and commercial property at the former Heritage Cafeteria site in Springfield, according to past reporting. The project includes 95 apartments to be managed by TLC.
