Trump signs bill to prevent government shutdown

President Donald Trump today signed an executive order that prevents a government shutdown.

The temporary spending bill was passed by the Senate on Wednesday.

The legislation keeps federal agencies up and running until Dec. 11. Lawmakers are working on additional legislation that would keep the government operational through September 2021.
