Will solar on my business allow me to go “off grid?”

As battery technology improves, using batteries or going off grid may be a viable option in the near future. Currently, the vast majority of all solar systems needs to stay tied to the grid to take advantage of Missouri’s favorable net metering laws. This allows you to draw power from the grid when your system is not producing all the power that you need and send power back to the grid when you produce more than you use.
