2018 40 Under 40 Yearbook: Paul Sundy, 39

Class of 2010

Posted online

Then: Co-owner in several ventures, including Big Whiskey’s and Parlor 88
Now: Co-owner and senior vice president of operations, Big Whiskey’s

This entrepreneur has settled in on a single concept.

In 2010, Paul Sundy was involved in myriad restaurant ventures, including Parlor 88 Lounge & Eatery and the now defunct Fedora Social House.

It was Big Whiskey’s that would ultimately prove to be a boon for Sundy and his business partners. He’s now focused solely on the nine-restaurant venture with more, including franchisees, on the way.

“As you get older, you start to re-evaluate your focus and make sure it’s still intriguing to you,” he says. “I was getting so misconstrued with the noise, rather than really making something big.”
