YOUR BUSINESS AUTHORITY
Springfield, MO
My father and grandfather were both strong influences in forming my leadership viewpoint. They taught me:
• Work ethic is key to my success;
• To commit to the vision of my business; and
• The customer is always right.
A successful business is not easy, and takes a lot of hard work. Leading is not about being a boss, but rather leading through example.
A common misconception is that you boss people around and they do what you say because you are the boss.
A true leader is someone that people come to for guidance, suggestions and advice, and who makes others feel like they are part of the team.
Through this guidance a true leader empowers employees and gives them a sense of ownership and pride in the business.
Stay focused on what you do well and what your vision states. Try not to take clients’ business choices personally.
If a client doesn’t come back immediately, it could be because of scheduling, monetary restraints, or a desire to try something new. Their experience is their own, and it is your role to make sure it is a good experience.
