Project description: The new Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Jail will be able to house 1,242 inmates, up from 709 at the current site. Officials say the new facility also will enable the office to consolidate most operations onto one campus. The project was designed by nForm Architecture LLC, and engineering work is by Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; TreanorHL Inc. (Lawrence, Kansas), civil; and Imeg Corp., mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B.
