Project description: Updates are being completed in the coming months to the city of Springfield Noble Hill Sanitary Landfill, including a new scale house and entrance, office space and maintenance buildings to fix trash trucks and bulldozers. The project also includes paving and site improvements. Dake Wells Architecture Inc. designed the buildings, SCS Engineers is the civil engineer, and Interpres Building Solutions LLC is the mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineer. Palmerton & Parrish Inc. provided engineering consulting and materials testing.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B.
