Project description: The Ozark School District is updating a former manufacturing plant it purchased in 2009 to serve as an extension of Ozark High School and the new district offices. The project was approved by voters through a 2020 bond issue. DeWitt is overseeing construction, remodeling and site improvements. Esterly Schneider & Associates Inc. and Gould Evans Architects PC (Kansas City) are architects for the project. Engineering work is provided by JS Smith Consulting Engineers PC, structural, and Smith-Goth Engineers Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing.
Plaza Shopping Center gained an arcade with the March 1 opening of The Flying Lap LLC; the repurposing of space operated by Burrell Behavioral Health resulted in the March 18 opening of the company’s second autism center; and a group of downtown business owners teamed up to reopen J.O.B.
